Denver Violent Crime Victims Attorney Pamela Maass of the Gold Law Firm Recently Received the Excellence in Civil Legal Representation AwardOn March 30th, 2017, Denver attorney Pamela Maass from the Gold Law Firm, was honored at the Rocky Mountain Victim Law Center (RMvlc) award ceremony. She received the Excellence in Civil Legal Representation Award. The ceremony and celebration was the Law Center’s first ever National Crime Victim Rights Week event honoring both victims of crimes, as well as those individuals who continue to perform exceptional work upholding victim rights here in Colorado.

The event started with a silent auction, drinks and appetizers while several attorneys who have made significant contributions to upholding victim’s rights in Colorado were honored. Other attorneys who were honored that night included Lisa Scanga, District Attorney, 1st Judicial District, Katharina Booth, Assistant District Attorney, 20th Judicial District, and Catrina Weigel, District Attorney, 20th Judicial District. All received the Excellence in Prosecution Award. The ceremony also honored Bryanna Galache, a crime victim survivor who showed tremendous strength and resilience.

More About Award Winning Attorney Pamela Maass

Pamela Maass has worked on behalf of victims of sexual assault and other violent crimes in the Denver District Attorney’s office and in the 18th Judicial District Attorney’s Office. She served as Felony Deputy District Attorney in Boulder, Colorado and conducted more than 40 jury trials for cases involving victims of crime. She joined the Gold Law Firm in 2015.

What is the Rocky Mountain Victim Law Center?

The Rocky Mountain Victim Law Center is a Colorado nonprofit organization that provides free legal assistance to victims of violent crime. They help enforce their rights under the Victims’ Rights Act and safeguard their future. They represent child and adult victims of violence, including sexual abuse, homicide, domestic violence, and more. Clients must reside in Colorado or have been a victim of a crime that occurred in Colorado in order to be eligible for legal representation.

National Crime Victim’s Rights Week happens every year from April 2nd to April 8th. Each year the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) leads communities across the country in observing a National Crime Victim’s Rights week. This year’s theme is Strength. Resilience. Justice.
