The Pueblo Police Department have arrested Jeremy Molina, the 31-year-old suspect who drove a stolen pickup truck into a car containing a mother and her 6-year-old on the morning of January 6th.
Molina was apparently in possession of illegal drugs when he was arrested just before noon on Monday, and he is now being held in jail in Pueblo.
The car accident occurred on W. 4th St. near the Midtown Shopping Center when Molina, apparently driving a stolen car, was spooked by a police vehicle, started driving erratically, and drove head on into the sedan carrying the mother and child. Molina fled the scene on foot, leaving behind an injured female passenger in the truck.
The seriously injured mother and child were airlifted to hospitals in Colorado Springs and Denver for treatment. Police are still investigating the incident.
