A collision involving a motorhome that ran a red light, resulted in multiple people being injured in Fort Collins, last Wednesday.
According to the Fort Collins Police Department, the crash occurred on the afternoon of October 14th, when a motorhome pulling an SUV failed to stop at a light at the intersection of Timberline and Harmony Roads.
The motorhome collided with numerous vehicles, resulting in a 16-vehicle collision and 22 people being injured. Five of those people required hospitalization, two of whom were in serious condition.
The intersection was closed for almost 12 hours before emergency crews were able to get it re-opened. The police are continuing to investigate this incident, and are determining whether or not the crash was caused by an emergency medical event experienced by the driver of the motorhome.
