Three vehicles were involved in a crash in Aurora caused by a broken water main, last Thursday.
According to the Aurora Police Department, the main broke at the intersection of South Parker Road and East Iliff Avenue around 7:30 a.m. on the morning of January 7th, causing water to freeze over and create an ice sheet.
This ice sheet is what caused three vehicles, one of which was an Arapahoe County deputy vehicle, to slide and crash into each other, injuring all three of the drivers involved.
The injured drivers were taken to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Traffic in the area was closed to traffic for a number of hours after this incident. ‘
Police are continuing to investigate this accident.
