A rollover crash on Interstate 70 in Glenwood Canyon shut down all traffic on the interstate for about 12 hours last Friday afternoon.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash occurred around 12 p.m. on the afternoon of May 28th, when a semi-truck rolled over crushing the cab of the semi and trapping the driver inside.
The 54-year-old male driver of the truck had to be cut out of the vehicle with the jaws of life, and was taken to the hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
I-70 did not open fully until Saturday morning, though westbound lanes reopened on Friday afternoon.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the police.
