22-year-old Colorado Springs resident, Alexis Wyatt, passed away after a car accident on the afternoon of Monday, February 3rd.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the accident occurred about half an hour past noon on Highway 24 outside Calhan. Wyatt was heading east when she lost control of her vehicle, due to dangerous weather and icy road conditions. She then crashed into a semi-trailer truck headed in the other direction, and both vehicles went off of the road. Wyatt was pronounced dead on the scene, but the truck driver was uninjured.
