A fatal aggressive driving accident in Brighton occurred on Highway 85 around 4:30 a.m. on Friday morning, blocking traffic for almost three hours.
According to the Brighton Police Department, witnesses saw a Jeep Grand Cherokee and an unidentified truck driving aggressively and speeding close to E-470. Police believe the vehicles may have been racing, and that these dangerous driving behaviors contributed to the accident.
The driver of the truck, a 36-year-old Northglenn man, was not wearing a seat belt and did not survive the accident.
Police are still investigating this collision and are searching for the driver of the Grand Cherokee, who could not be identified by witnesses. Anyone with any information about this crash is asked to call (303) 2880-1535.
