An accident in Fremont County on Saturday resulted in one fatality.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash occurred at the intersection of Highways 9 and 50, seven miles west of Canon City, around 3 p.m. in the afternoon of July 25th.
Apparently, a Lincoln Navigator driven by a 19-year-old out of state resident, was making a left turn onto Highway 50 when it was crashed into by an International Bus headed west.
Jerry Sun of College Point, New York was taken to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. Two other passengers in the Lincoln were also taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Everyone involved in the collision were wearing a seat belt, and at this time the police do not believe that intoxication or speeding were factors in this crash. Police are still investigating the incident.
