A terrible crash in northeast Aurora last Sunday morning, took the lives of two adults.
According to the Aurora Police Department, the collision occurred around 12:35 a.m. on the morning of September 19th, and took place close to the intersection of East 38th Avenue and North Windsor Drive.
Apparently, a Chevrolet Cruz was traveling east on East 38th Avenue at a high rate of speed, when it collided with a Chevrolet Malibu that was turning left from North Windsor Drive onto East 38th Avenue.
There were two adult passengers in the Malibu, both of whom sadly passed away at the scene. The driver of the Cruz was seriously injured in the crash, and was taken to the hospital.
The police are continuing to investigate, and it is unknown as of the time of this writing whether or not intoxication was a factor in this crash. No charges have been issued at this time, and the names of the deceased have not been released.
Anyone who may have seen the crash, or who has any information, is asked to call 720.913.7867. Tipsters may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the deceased.
