Police in Colorado Springs are investigating a fatal collision that occurred at the intersection of Murray and Fountain Boulevards on Friday night.
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department, the collision happened around 9 p.m. on the evening of June 19th, involved two vehicles and resulted in multiple people being seriously injured.
Police investigators believe at this time that a sedan was driving through the intersection on Fountain Boulevard, when it was crashed into by another vehicle, a Mazda. All three of the passengers in the sedan were taken to the hospital, along with one person who was in the Mazda. Sadly, the person who was in the Mazda passed away en route to the hospital due to the injuries they sustained in the crash.
Police are still investigating this crash, and at the time of this writing, they do not believe that intoxication or speed played a role in this incident. The intersection was closed for several hours as police cleared the scene and investigated.
