A hit-and-run collision in Denver early last Monday morning, tragically took the life of a man in a wheelchair.
According to the Denver Police Department, the collision took place around 2:30 a.m. on the morning of September 27th, close to the intersection of Broadway and 3rd Avenue.
Apparently, the man in the wheelchair was in one of the southbound lanes of Broadway, not moving for some unknown reason.
A vehicle believed to be a white Dodge Ram pickup with a black trailer bedcover, struck the man in the wheelchair, killing him, before driving away.
Police believe that extensive damage would have been done to the front driver side of the vehicle, including a possible damaged headlight.
Police are searching for the driver involved, and ask that anyone with any information call (720) 913-7867. Tipsters may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward.
