There was a fatal head-on collision in Broomfield during the Monday morning commute, on December 9th. Two female drivers were taken to a local hospital after the accident, which took place on Sheridan Parkway around 7 a.m.
One driver, driving a GMC van, was headed north, while the other driver was headed south in a Honda Element. While the exact cause of the accident is still being investigated at the time of this writing, police have confirmed that there was a head-on crash that killed one of the women, and seriously injured the other.
The drivers were the sole occupants of each of their respective automobiles, and both had to be extricated from their vehicles to be taken to a local hospital. The identities of the drivers are being withheld for the time being. Sheridan Parkway was completely closed down for multiple hours while Broomfield police investigated the accident.
