A female inmate in Weld County Jail died due to a medical incident last Sunday morning.
According to the Greeley Police Department, the woman passed away around 12:05 a.m. on the morning of September 5th.
Apparently, the woman was found to be in medical distress around 11:30 p.m., which prompted police deputies and jail medical staff to attempt life-saving efforts.
The authorities have not yet released the details surrounding the woman’s passing, or the woman’s identity, waiting to do so until the surviving family members have been notified.
The investigation into the inmate’s death is ongoing, and is being conducted by the 19th Judicial Critical Incident Response Team.
