A two-vehicle head-on accident resulted in one fatality, shortly after 1 a.m. on Sunday, February 2nd.
Emergency response crews arrived at the scene of the accident on eastbound Colfax Avenue in Aurora, where they found that a Ford Explorer had been crashed into by a 1996 Cadillac.
According to the police, the Cadillac was driving the wrong way in the eastbound lanes when it crashed into the Explorer.
The driver of the Explorer was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, but the driver of the Cadillac, who had not been wearing a seatbelt, died at the scene.
The name of the deceased has not been released at the time of this writing, and police are still investigating the accident. It is unclear at this time whether or not intoxication played a role in this accident.
