A juvenile pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle that had run off a Fort Collins road, last Tuesday.
According to the Fort Collins Police Department, the crash occurred near the Rosetree Village Apartments on Richmond drive around 6 p.m. on July 6th.
Witnesses reported to the police that a Buick Lacrosse had traveled off of Richmond Drive, driving over a lawn and through a drainage ditch before colliding with the juvenile male.
The injured pedestrian was taken to the hospital for treatment, but later had to be moved to a different facility for specialized treatment.
The male driver of the Buick was uninjured. Traffic in the area was restricted for a period of time after the crash, while emergency crews processed the scene.
Police are continuing to investigate and ask that anyone with any information call (970) 221-6540. Our thoughts and prayers are with the injured young person.
