A pedestrian struck by a vehicle in Aurora on January 5th, passed away due to the injuries sustained.
According to the Aurora Police Department, the collision occurred around 5:45 p.m. at the intersection of Quentin Street and Smith Road, close to Interstate 70.
Apparently, the pedestrian was walking in the street, when a Subaru headed east on Smith Road came upon the pedestrian, attempted to avoid them, but ended up striking them.
The pedestrian, an adult male whose identity has not yet been released, was taken to the hospital for treatment, but later passed away due to the injuries sustained in the collision.
The driver remained on the scene and cooperated with the police. It is not believed that speed or intoxication played a factor in this incident.
