On the afternoon of Wednesday November 27th, the day before Thanksgiving, a pedestrian was struck by a Denver RTD bus near the intersection of Broadway and 3rd Avenue. The pedestrian was taken to a hospital close to the scene of the accident, and suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are still investigating the bus vs. pedestrian accident, and at this point it is unclear exactly what happened, and if the pedestrian was in the crosswalk at the time of the accident, or elsewhere on the street or sidewalk. Based on photos of the scene, there were clothes laying on the street near the crash site, which may or may not be related.
Two lanes of Broadway were closed for investigation after the accident.
