A pedestrian accident that happened in northeastern Colorado Springs on Friday night, resulted in one fatality
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department, about 10:30 p.m. on the evening of March 20th, a woman walking west on Winters Drive was hit by a car that was also traveling west.
The woman was taken to a local hospital for treatment but did not survive her injuries. The driver of the car stayed on the scene and apparently cooperated with the police. Police do not believe that intoxication or speeding played a role in the accident at this time.
It was revealed on Monday that the deceased woman’s name is Shanna Luther, who was 42 years-old. She is survived by her five children Wesley Hunt, Sara Spencer, Sierra Conley, Summer Conley and Trey Arnold, and her seven grandchildren, Camden, Levi, Ever, Everleigh, Lynnleigh, Charlie, and Rosslyn.
