Three people were seriously injured after a car accident in Fort Collins last Sunday.
According to Fort Collins Police Services, around 3:15 p.m. on March 8th, two vehicles crashed into each other at the intersection of Trilby Road and College Avenue South.
A Dodge pickup truck that was heading south on College Ave was crashed into by a Honda Civic, as it attempted to turn left onto Trilby Road from College Ave. North.
The force of the impact caused the pickup to roll, injuring the three passengers inside, the 18-year-old male driver, a 16-year-old female passenger and a 49-year-old female passenger.
The people in the Dodge were sent to a local hospital in serious condition, and the 20-year-old female driver of the Civic was treated for minor injuries at the scene and released.
Police closed the intersection for about five hours after the accident and, at the time of this writing, are still investigating what happened. They believe speed may have been a factor in this accident. They are asking that anyone with any information call (970) 416-2229.
