9-year-old Girl Killed in Go-Cart Accident – Denver Personal Injury Lawyer

Posted on August 16, 2010 in Uncategorized

A 9-year-old girl was killed over the weekend when the go-cart she was driving struck a trailer attached to an ATV. The person driving the ATV was an employee of the race track and looks to have made a serious a procedural error, pulling out in front of the young driver who didn't have to time to stop. The owner of the track, Brad Linkus, said that his employee "must have made a brain mistake" and that he shouldn't have pulled out in front of the girl. CBS4 reports that the girl "was going about 45 miles per hour" when she hit the trailer and the go-cart rolled several times. The Sheriff's Office reports that the accident and death remain under investigation.

A wrongful death is a death that is the result of the negligence of another. A wrongful death action or lawsuit is an action that seeks to hold those who are negligent for the death accountable. Pursuing a wrongful death action will not bring a loved one back, but it can alleviate some of the financial burden associated with their unexpected death.
