Fatal hit-and-run at MLK Jr. Boulevard in Denver Friday morning

Around 12:30 a.m. a crash happened at MLK Jr. Boulevard and Colorado Boulevard on Friday.

According to the Denver Police Department, a vehicle was going north on Colorado and ran a red light, hitting a vehicle that was turning left off of MLK Jr. Boulevard.

The driver of the vehicle that was turning was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver ran the red light fled on foot and hasn't been identified.

Authorities say this is an ongoing investigation.
