A fatal hit-and-run collision in Lakewood last Saturday, resulted in the death of one pedestrian.
According to the Lakewood Police Department, the collision occurred at the intersection of West Colfax Avenue and Oak Street, early on the morning of May 8th.
Apparently, a male crossing on West Colfax was struck by a vehicle that police believe to be white, although they do not at this time know what type of vehicle it was.
The driver did not remain on the scene, which makes this a hit-and-run. It is unknown whether or not the pedestrian had the right of way at the time, and his identity has not yet been released by the police.
The Lakewood Police Department is continuing to investigate, and ask that anyone with any information call 303-980-7300.
