Touch of Wellness Owner Faces Sexual Assault Allegation
Commerce City massage studio, Touch of Wellness, was in the news recently due to the arrest in June of it's owner, David Allan Gray, on a sexual assault charge. In Colorado, sexual assault is a class four felony.
According to the 17th Judicial District Attorney's Office, 59-year-old Gray is charged with sexually assaulting a 28-year-old woman who came into his business on June 11th for a massage. Touch of Wellness is located at 13575 E. 104th Ave. in Commerce City.
Since the news initially broke about his arrest, there have been additional individuals who have stated that they too have been victimized by Gray. Florida Teen Dies After Taser Shock
A Florida teenager has died after being shocked with a taser by Florida law enforcement when they were trying to arrest him for graffiti offenses. Israel Hernandez, 18, was caught spray painting a building in Miami beach on August 6th by officers and ran when police tried to arrest him. He was tasered after ignoring officers demands to stop running during the foot chase. After being taken into custody the teenager started showing signs of distress and was transported to Mount Sinai Hospital and was pronounced dead a short time later. The coroner's report is still pending and the cause of death is unknown at this time, but the boys family has stated that he didn't have any health problems that could have been related to his death.
According to human rights organization, Amnesty International, from 2001 to 2013, approximately 500 people have died from tasers, Florida has the second highest death rate in the United States due to the use of these "Stun Guns." Because tasers are not firearms they do not fall under any regulations from the Bureau of of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives. The journal Circulation released a study in which Dr. Douglas Zipes stated that "the shock from a taser could induce sudden cardiac arrest."
It is Hard To Expect The Unexpected
Most of us go through life with a routine. We wake up at a certain time, do the same "get ready for the day" things, then embark on our way. We have a plan for what we expect for the day, for the month even some of us for the year. I doubt anyone really thinks: "I'm going to be hit by a drunk driver" or be in a serious accident before the day is over. It's hard to expect the unexpected. Most of us don't have a savings account for the time that we are injured by the negligence of someone else. It's not something people plan for because it's not part of our plan. It can be overwhelming not being able to work because of an injury and have to watch the medical bills pile up, especially if you're the sole provider for your family. Unfortunately, accidents happen all the time but it is still hard to be prepared for them.
If you or someone you know has been injured due to the negligence of someone else, it's important that you contact a personal injury lawyer in Denver today to get the help you need.
Four People Killed In An Accident Saturday Night
Four people were killed in an accident Saturday night on interstate 70 east of Denver. Eight people were in the Chevy Tahoe that ran off the road, hitting a sign then rolling and ejecting all eight. No one in the vehicle was wearing a seat belt. Two adult males and two adult females were killed. Surprisingly the other four, consisting of one adult male and three juvenile males were not seriously injured. No other vehicles were reported being involved in the accident.
Wearing a seat belt can reduce the risk of crash injuries by 50 percent. Forty two percent of occupants involved in a car accident not wearing seat belts were killed last year in the united states. Statistics show that teens are the largest group of drivers not buckled in.

Accident Kills Two
A grieving family has been told by Aurora police that the accident that took two of their loved ones was caused by another driver, according to 9 News. The wife of one of the victims expressed relief that her husband's name had been cleared of fault in the accident that took his life, as well as the life of their three-month-old granddaughter. About two months earlier, the couple and their granddaughter were getting off I-225 at 17th Place when a pickup truck driven by a teenaged boy who had no driver's license struck their SUV in the intersection. The teenager said at the time that he had a green light, but investigators have determined that he actually ran a red light.

Every year, more than 30,000 people are killed in car crashes in the United States. There are hundreds of causes of these accidents, but unfortunately, many of them are the result of the careless or negligent actions of another driver. Many actions can be considered negligent while driving, including running a red light, excessive speeding, and extremely aggressive driving. Simply put, a driver who drives in a way that a reasonable driver would not do may be considered negligent. When that negligence results in injury or damage to another person, the negligent driver can be held liable for his or her actions.
